The Weekends Never Get Old!!

Soooo this past weekend was EXCELLENT to say the least!

Friday started off with the Booze Cruise to Kelly's Island with Steph Baker!! Such a great time, as always! The weather was ok as we left, but turned "ugly" as we got closer to the island...see picture below. This may be one of the BEST pictures that has ever been taken!!

The weather was better as the night went on, and we enjoyed ourselves!! Somehow, I managed to dance with a VERY good looking boy and exchanged phone numbers. I was a little pumped and proud of myself, until I found out he is....ENGAGED?!?!??! WHAAA??!? Oh well...always more men in the world...I'll get to that on the Saturday story...

Saturday was Elly's wedding!! Elly is a fellow speech therapist at work and her husband is Brandon. They are a great couple. The wedding ceremony was very nice and the weather was perfect. The reception took place at Snook's Dream Cars Museum in Bowling Green. I had been there before for a formal, so I knew it was pretty cool! Lots of older, beautiful, classic cars to ooohh and aahhh over! The reception was a bit longer and had a different layout than I expected, but it was still a success. I ended up cutting the wedding cake, do not ask haha!!

Elly was gorgeous and stunning!!

So, I have to say that I was definitely hitting on the good looking bartender at the wedding. My friend Katie was working the event and so of course we started chatting and I started chatting with said bartender. Now, he is not a bartender all the time, just works part time at Snook's because he has for a long long time (he is around my age). He actually has a degree in Architecture (pretty sure...) and is a pilot. Sound stalkerish? It is not, all this information was given freely at the reception! HAHA! Anyway, so we ended up taking a short drive in the classy old car that was in front of the reception hall to the storage unit. After that, he showed me all of the cars, explained them AND I got to climb inside some of them; super cool!!! I seriously should have asked for his number there but of course I did not. Boo. We chatted for a bit longer and I stayed a while chatting with Katie while they tore down the hall. Of course I STILL did not ask for his number. I think I need a dating coach. I am not sure if he is single or not, I think he might be, and I am trying to ask Katie for his number, but that again might seem "stalkerish". I do not think it is at all, if you have a genuine interest in someone. So, we shall see how that endeavor goes....

Well that is my weekend round-up! Today I biked again for 13 miles and tomorrow night is scrapbooking! Do not worry Lizzy, I will be doing a morning workout :) Feel free to comment everyone, I love it!

Until next time.....you stay classy.....

Wednesday Wednesday....

It is my day off..yay!!! Unfortunately the car needs fixed so I have no vehicle. However, I have an awesome bike so I will take that on a long ride for the afternoon! Hopefully the car does not cost a whole bunch of $$$$$. Gym later to get my lift and cardio on!

In other news: Scrapbooking last night at the K house was a hit, as usual! We got lots accomplished and Emily loved her new papers and stickers!! The little ones were screaming at times, but went to bed eventually. Ty and Owen LOVED using my scrapping scissors (they have designs when you cut) and were champs at using their pronouns to request. I guess a speech therapist is never off duty...??!?!?!??! Good times had by all! They also loved the Coke Zero I brought over....so sweet.

Tuesday was a crazy day at work and I would rather not discuss that; but it ended up going smoother than I originally planned, thank goodness.

Mom should hopefully be coming back to the States this week!! She and my Dad had a blast in Germany, cannot wait to see the pics. Plus, they sent me a package of HARIBO GUMMI BEARS!! If you know me, you know how much I love these; pretty sure they will be at my wedding someday. Maybe they got me something else....??? :)

Not a very "adventurous" blog today, maybe later there will be interesting things to post! Hopefully within the next several months there will be very exciting news to post! I'll keep everyone updated on that as appropriate....until then.....

Cheers!

My first blog...

Here I am on a Sunday night, typing away in my NEW blog! Why did I start a blog you ask? Well, there is a lot happening in my life and some of it is pretty fun and humorous, so why not share it and give others some laughs too. So here goes...feel free to leave comments, I would love it!

I will call this past weekend, "Wedding Weekend"! (Pictures above!!). Saturday I had a bachelorette party and today I had a bridal shower; both were great! Saturday was scrapbooking allllll day! Gina and I got lots accomplished and got some goodies. The scrapbook store had everything you could ever want with regards to crafting. Perfect. Elly's bachelorette party was fun, and wine with friends is always a good combination. Sarah's bridal shower was gorgeous AND I got to see Jackie and some of the other speech girls...including honorary speech girl Jen! Elly's wedding is next weekend and Sarah's is in September; they both are going to be lots of fun!

Tonight was the usual: workout, ride my bike (which I actually did in the morning), rent a movie, make some dinner and chill out. Lizzy has given me AWESOME workouts and they are really working! She is such a great friend and I am sooo thankful for her!!! I will post before and after pics after a while. I rented "Shutter Island", which I have seen before. Get it if you have not seen it!! The movie never gets old and has lot of suspense. Plus, you will never figure out the ending :)

What else is going on in my life...hmm...well work is CRAZY right now and I cannot wait for it to slow down. As for boys, well they come and go as usual, but I am not looking right now and would prefer it that way. Blogging about my dating life should be hilarious, so be on the lookout.

Some wonderful things are in store for Christine, so stay tuned!
